I just randomly ran into it while I was in the city, but come to think of it, it's not that much of a surprise to have skating rinks in Nagoya since so many of Japan's famous figure skaters are from the area!Miwa Theresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07628074886239769029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319339803753927098.post-33870439021643227632014-01-02T20:12:25.516+09:002014-01-02T20:12:25.516+09:00It would definitely be more interesting if they we...It would definitely be more interesting if they were on skates though.Druhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08002643968517980587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319339803753927098.post-45002110844077544522014-01-02T15:09:39.170+09:002014-01-02T15:09:39.170+09:00Oh okay. They were regular ...Curlers don't wear skates. They were regular shoes. If you are an amateur you just have to wear flat soled shoes and they give you a special "footprint" to step on. It is similar to a ski but the size of a regular foot. That is how you slide. The ice is actually not slippery at all if you walk on it. It is like a frosted sidewalk. If you try to stop suddenly, you'll slip, but if you are careful, you won't have problems walking on it.Druhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08002643968517980587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319339803753927098.post-78971536899566242372014-01-01T23:24:09.422+09:002014-01-01T23:24:09.422+09:00I'm so glad you all seem to have survived the ...I'm so glad you all seem to have survived the massive Christmas feast in France! hehe! ;DKaorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06495830655043821533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319339803753927098.post-62171717424678308272014-01-01T23:23:12.614+09:002014-01-01T23:23:12.614+09:00I'm behind on reading and commenting on blog p...I'm behind on reading and commenting on blog posts, too!

Can't say for sure regarding the girl with the skirt. Young kids do crazy things to look their best when venturing outside. I know for certain because I used to wear the shortest school uniform skirt with just loose-socks in Sapporo winters. Crazy.

Also, you know how to curl? I've always wanted to try, it looks so interesting! Do they were regular skates or are there curling skates just for the sport?
